What we get up to..

Our cadets take part in a varied programme of activities all year round, we encourage our cadets to try something new all the time!

Parade Evenings

On a normal parade evening we following a schedule programme of activities. Every evening begins with formal inspection of uniform, this is a major part of being an Air Cadet. We provide the skills to be able to iron, polish and look after all our uniform.

The remainder of the evening consists of a different activity each evening. This varies between the summer and winter months. In the summer we get outside as much as possible, playing sports, or taking part in an exercise for example. In Winter the programme is class room based and our instructors provide fun and interesting lessons that cadets progress through each year.

Every year cadets get the chance to go on a summer camp for a week which is always held at an RAF station in the UK. On top of this there are plenty of opportunites to visit overseas RAF stations such as Gibraltar and Cyprus.

Cadets also take part in a number of sporting competitions throughout the year including: Football, Rugby, Swimming and Atheletics.
